eSoft AppFilter Offers Complete Internet Security

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -eSoft Inc. has entered the Internet security market with its AppFilter, a new SoftPak application which provides companies the ability to manage the security, liability and bandwidth threats which are associated with Internet and network-based applications, including file sharing and instant messaging.

Available immediately, AppFilter enhances the monitoring and security benefits of a firewall by allowing administrators to manage and completely block security threats and network vulnerabilities caused by Internet and network-based applications and protocols.

Additionally, file sharing and instant messaging applications open up an organization's network with a variety of security and liability risks. In particular, the new software package addresses security vulnerabilities associated with instant messaging and peer to peer file sharing.

In addition to enhancing blocking capabilities, AppFilter also includes real-time network traffic monitoring and visualization, which provides the administrator the ability to instantly monitor traffic and network activities passing through the firewall.
