Intrusion.com Releases SecureCom PDS 2315 Security Appliance

Intrusion.com's new security appliance, the SecureCom PDS 2315, is designed to provide enterprise class security to small businesses and remote offices. Pre-installed with Check Point Software's VPN-1/FireWall-1 software for managed VPN and firewall protection, the SecureCom PDS comes with a built-in 10GB hard drive and local logging, providing an extra safety net for data capture during an attack. The SecureCom PDS will also enable the individual deployment of intrusion detection, anti-virus or other applications on a single platform.

The SecureCom 2315 can be deployed by customers or managed service providers. Additional platform support for Windows 2000 and Red Hat Linux has also been added.

Small enough to sit on the corner of a desk, SecureCom PDS 2315 appliances feature:

  • An open Intel architecture for easy development and deployment of new technologies
  • A special security hardened version of Red Hat Linux, pre-configured for optimum performance and pre-installed for out-of-the-box convenience
  • Three 10/100 Mb Ethernet ports for connection to such sources as DSL, cable modems, and routers
  • Serial and USB ports
  • Expansion options for added scalability

The SecureCom PDS 2315 appliance is currently available, starting at $1895.
