The Vanguard 340 from Motorola's Multiservice Networks Division is an integrated access device for networking corporate branch and small/home office (SOHO) environments.

A high performance, RISC-based multiservice router, the Vanguard 340 can be used to integrate data, voice, and video with VPN capabilities over a single network - minimizing costs and simplifying administration. It supports intelligent Voice-over-IP features, and also works as a low-end voice gateway with a full set of IP Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. The Vanguard 340 also offers an improved Web-based GUI to simplify installation, configuration, and management.

As with the rest of the Vanguard product line, the Vanguard 340 is built on the Vanguard Applications Ware software and is scalable and upgradeable without requiring a complete overhaul.
