gMovie Brings Audio/Video to Palms

Generic Media's gMovie Maker 2 and gMovie Player 2a software bundle brings audio and video playback and conversion to Palm handhelds.

gMovie supports both high quality compressed stereo audio and uncompressed audio. The free application utilizes built-in pinhole speakers for audio playback that maintains synch with video, animation, and still images. The media clip must be coded in the gMovie format for Palm OS handhelds.

An audio-capable version of gMovie Player is pre-installed on the Sony CLIE. The bundled MemoryStick also includes music videos in the gMovie format by popular music acts.

gMovie Player 2 also supports direct playback from removable storage on other Palm handhelds, including the MemPlug SmartMedia Adaptor for the Handspring Visor and SD/MMC for Palm 500/505.

gMovie Maker 2 encodes to high quality compressed stereo audio and uncompressed audio in the gMovie format and is one of the first applications to convert videos for the Palm OS with stereo quality sound in synchronization with video, animation, and still images.

Windows and Macintosh users can use gMovie Maker 2 to convert a wide variety of media content with high quality compressed stereo audio and uncompressed audio. The gMovie Player 2 is available at no charge as a downloadable trial from Generic Media's Website, www.genericmedia.com.
