CMS PDA Hard Drive Boosts Storage Capacity

CMS Fire & Forget Type II PC-Card hard drive adds up to 2GB of storage capacity to PDA applications. The drive is shrunk into a credit card-sized package, weighing less than two ounces. It sports seek times of 15ms, allowing for data transfer rates of 20MB per second.

The drive is fast enough to support streaming video and MP3 audio. It can be connected through the CMS USB to a PCMCIA converter or directly plugged into any PC card slot.

Drivers for Windows CE based Pocket PC platforms are available.The drive has been tested with various Pocket PC products, including the HP Journado and Compaq iPAQ where it extends the applications that require data rich storage.

The product is shipping now through CMS and their qualified distributors. It comes with a 1 year warranty.
