Check Out Fujitsu's TeamPad

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions' TeamPad 7510 is a large-display handheld computer that runs on Windows CE and targets the retail industry. Store managers can track inventory, review real-time reports, or tap other back-office data while doing store walk-throughs and serving customers. The TeamPad 7510 can also be used as a portable point-of-sale terminal.

The TeamPad 7510 supports Microsoft Windows CE running frequency hopping or direct-sequence, spread-spectrum wireless LANs. It includes a 168MHz processor and a new thin-film transistor (TFT) color touch-screen display for superior brightness and a wide view. The 10.4-inch display is one of the largest available in a handheld. The 7510 remotely accesses server-based data via wireless Local Area Networks (LANs).

  • RISC 168MHz processor
  • 16 MB of RAM
  • 16 MB of ROM, 2 MB Flash ROM
  • Windows CE operating system
  • 10.4-inch diagonal TFT color screen with indoor/outdoor viewing
  • Resistive touch screen and virtual keyboard
  • PCMCIA type II slot for radio frequency (RF) cards
  • Lithium-ion 1750 mAh smart battery pack with three hours operating time and two and a half hours charging time
  • Compatibility with various spread-spectrum wireless LANs
  • Optional charging stands
  • Optional battery pack chargers
  • Optional scanner and magnetic card reader

The TeamPad 7510, which is available in June 2001 and list priced at $3,700, is the ideal handheld unit for retailers.
