Accelerated Technology, Inc., released its Residential Gateway Suite, a software platform for the development of home gateways, specifically for the Accelerated Technology Nucleus operating system.

The software is written to aid in the design of simple DSL or cable modems, or more complex Internet access-sharing devices with home networking capabilities. Developers of residential gateways for the home and small offices will be able to leverage the software to bring their products to market more quickly.

ATI has incorporated into the Residential Gateway Suite: Nucleus NAT (Network Address Translation); Nucleus PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet); and Nucleus DHCP Server (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

This product is tightly integrated with Nucleus and extends Nucleus to support such applications as xDSL and cable modems, SOHO routers, Integrated Access Devices, and network-enabled set-top boxes. The Residential Gateway Suite will be available for popular 16-bit and 32-bit processor architectures.

Also available from ATI for similar product designs is Nucleus SNMP and Nucleus WebServ to incorporate remote management and monitoring of products.
