At the Intel Developer Forum, Intel laid out its strategy for Internet enabled client-based technologies. Since the role of the client is evolving to meet the needs of an extended Internet and digital world, Intel announced the new program to enable delivery of wireless devices and applications.

The Intel PCA Developer Network was introduced as a new program designed to help developers build and market wireless applications, services, and devices based on the Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture (Intel PCA). The online resource offers wireless companies development, technical, and marketing support, including access to more than 300 software design tools for building cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and other mobile Internet devices and applications supporting Intel PCA.

The open architectural framework of the Intel PCA allows separate development of communications and computing subsystems and speeds development and deployment of wireless Internet devices, applications, and services. Members have access to white papers, application notes, and more.

Intel PCA Developer Network membership is free.
