Anycom Compacts BluetoothBy Michael Foley Anycom, Inc., introduced a Bluetooth CompactFlash (CF) Card that enables any device with a PC or CF Card slot to communicate with other Bluetooth devices including iAppliances, notebooks, mobile phones, PDAs, access points, or printers. Anycom's CompactFlash Card provides wireless LAN Access and Dial-Up Networking functionality to handheld PCs, laptops, and other mobile computing devices. In addition, by using Anycom's CF Card together with its Bluetooth Printer Module, users can print wirelessly from a handheld PC. Anycom's Bluetooth CF card features:
The Bluetooth CF card includes built-in authentication, encryption, and three-level user defined security options. It has a range of 33 feet. The baseband and radio is based on the Ericsson/VLSI combination chipset. Anycom is a member of the Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner Program (MSWEP), which will include support for Bluetooth. Developers working with the latest beta release of this operating system are encouraged to contact Anycom to develop solutions today. Anycom's CF Card costs $199 and now is available. Link: |
