RapidStream 500 Protects Remote OfficesBy RapidStream 500 provides a centrally managed security solution for remote offices and telecommuters who use DSL or cable modems to access the Internet and connect to their corporate networks. The RapidStream 500 provides 1000 firewall sessions and two VPN tunnels, strengthening the remote office/home network against hacker attacks and protecting confidential corporate data that could otherwise be compromised. It delivers 20 Mbps of firewall throughput and 20 Mbps of VPN/3 DES throughput and includes two 10/100 Ethernet ports, eliminating bottlenecks for the remote office/telecommuter. The RapidStream 500 uses the same RapidCore technology as RapidStream's high-end appliances and supports DHCP and PPPoE, allowing seamless integration with any broadband access service using dynamic IP address assignment. The RapidStream 500 can also be centrally configured and administered from RapidStream's Central Policy Management (CPM) System, reducing administration time, speeding deployment, and lowering the cost of delivering VPN and firewall services to remote offices and telecommuters.
