Intrinsyc Software has extended its J-Integra Java to COM coupling software with the addition of five new products that offer application specific functionality for Java and Microsoft developers.

J-Integra bridging technologies allow developers to access COM components from Java and Java components from COM. The J-Integra Suite of products enables software developers to create bi-directional interfaces between any Java and COM components.

The new J-Integra suite of bridging products includes:

  • J-Integra Java-Excel Bridge, which allows Java developers to access Excel through a Java API.
  • J-Integra Java-Exchange, which provides Java access to Microsoft Exchange components such as calendar, contacts, and email.
  • J-Integra Servlet-COM Bridge, which provides access to COM components from a Java servlet or JavaServer Page (JSP), just as if the COM components were implemented in Java.
  • J-Integra ASP-Java Bridge, which enables Microsoft developers to integrate their Active Server Pages (ASP) presentation layers with Java back-end server software. The ASP-Java Bridge makes Java objects look like COM objects, enabling integration between Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs); Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE); and ASP.
  • J-Integra VB-EJB Bridge, which allows for the integration between Visual Basic and Enterprise JavaBeans.

Product trial downloads are available online. Introductory pricing is available until November 1, 2001, and pricing options are available per client or server license. Volume discounts are also available for independent software vendors.
