Novatel Wireless' Expedite G301 Wireless Embedded Modem enables high-speed wireless data access and analog voice communication anywhere in the world where there is GSM/GPRS network coverage.

The Expedite Embedded Modems are used in e-commerce wireless data applications including: PDA's, laptop computers, telemetry, inventory monitoring, point-of-sale, automated banking, vending machines, vehicle tracking, and portable computer integration.

The Expedite G301 is 0.6 watt, full-duplex, wireless transceiver that uses the Cellular Digital Packet Data Specification. Its Over-the-Air monitoring, configuration, and program download features provide for remote updates and maintenance.

Because of its miniature size and light weight the G301 can integrate into almost any device. Its built-in TCP/IP, SLIP, PPP and UDP stacks and standard serial port connection make integration very simple. Using a 3.6-volt supply, the Expedite modem can be directly connected to a standard rechargeable battery pack (NiMH or Li-Ion). In addition the Expedite modem's Sleep Mode extends battery life, while an integrated power monitor ensures reliable operation in rugged environments.

Expedite G301 also has built-in error correction to ensure data transmission is reliable and accurate and the CDPD network employs multiple security features including frequency hopping, Reed-Solomon encoding, and RC4 encryption to ensure privacy.

The Expedite G301 uses circuit switched multi-slot class 10, providing wireless data at speeds up to 53.6 kbps, SMS messaging features, very low power consumption, and the smallest form factor by volume in the industry.
