SofaWare Brings Security into the Home

SofaWare Technologies has released the SofaWare S-box, a security appliance focused on home office and general home computer Internet security. The $300 SofaWare S-box Internet security appliance runs Check Point-based Safe@Home software. It can be easily deployed into any home environment with DSL or cable Internet access.

SofaWare S-box highlights include:

Versions of the S-box will integrate into Check Point's enterprise security infrastructure for small remote office environments, and will be licensed to multiple home networking/appliance vendors. SofaWare's Safe@Home running on the S-box is based on Check Point's FireWall-1 Internet security package and provides security and firewall protection to broadband customers.
