Larry Ellison's New Internet Computer Company already has bragging rights to the most affordable Internet computer on the market, the $199.99 New Internet Computer, and now NIC has unveiled a new bargain-priced flat-screen option while supplies last. It's an ultra-thin, flat panel Active Matrix display retailing for $249.99.

The jet-black 12.1`` TFT panel 800X600 flat-screen display with built-in speakers is now available online through NIC. Customers need not purchase an NIC computer in order to buy the company's flat screen option; the TFT display works with any computer.

The NIC costs less than the cheapest PC and is the only Internet computer that does not require users to commit to lengthy ISP commitments. You can use it with EarthLink, Worldnet, Prodigy, and other popular ISPs. The NIC includes built-in modem and Ethernet connections.

And unlike other Internet devices, the NIC works with Java, Real Player, Macromedia Flash, and other popular plug-ins, giving users PC-quality Web browsing. Audio, video and animation are all available.

Starting at $199.99, the NIC offers plug-and-play email and Internet access.
