ARESCOM Connects Multi-Tenant Units Wirelessly

ARESCOM introduced its unique high-speed wireless MTU solution to address the diverse wireless Internet access needs of the MTU (Multi-Tenant Unit) hospitality and residential marketplaces. The ARESCOM Wireless MTU Solution comprises ARESCOM's CDS 6000 DSL Service Platform working in conjunction with ARESCOM's Wireless LAN solutions, which include the NetDSL 1700 Wireless LAN ADSL IP Router and new AresGate 1000 Wireless LAN Gateway Series, which offers a high-speed 802.11b Wireless AP (Access Point) with powerful advanced routing features.

Combined with ARESCOM's Wireless LAN CPE solutions, the ARESCOM Wireless MTU Solution offers instant and secure wireless Internet access for all PC or laptop users in every kind of MTU networking environment. Two new features have been built into the ARESCOM CDS 6000 DSL Service Platform to make it the easy to use and secure: Any-IP and IEEE 802.1X.

Any-IP is a new technology that allows any desktop or laptop PC user in the MTU premises to immediately enjoy Internet access without re-configuring original IP addresses.

IEEE 802.1X, is a new port-based authentication protocol that offers PC users the most robust wireless security when they are on-line. IEEE 802.1X implements the latest and most sophisticated authentication and WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) key management techniques to prevent unwanted network intrusion.
