OpenSystems Captures Network IntelligenceBy Jeff MIchalski OpenSystems has introduced the Network Intelligence Engine to capture and manage event data from security and network devices with reliability, cost-efficiency, and performance. The Network Intelligence Engine event management appliance captures and manages high volumes of event messages created by the firewall and intrusion detection systems that secure the perimeter of the network. The messages can be generated by access control systems, virtual private networks, switches, and routers that provide access to applications and content. The Network Intelligence Engine converts the raw log data collected from these devices into real-time security alerts, event correlation, valuable employee usage and performance reports, and then stores this information for historical analysis and audits. Packaged as a high reliability 1U rack-mountable system that is designed to eliminate application conflicts in a configurable solution, the device includes a RAID5 controller with battery back-up. Its storage capacities range from 144GB to 1.1TB with support for both NAS and SAN for external storage. Benefits of deploying the Network Intelligence Engine include:
Three models of the Network Intelligence Engine are available immediately: NIE-1000, NIE-2500, and NIE-5000. Pricing begins at $19,500 and is based on events collected per second. Link: |
