Celestix Updates Its Aries Security Appliance

Celestix Networks, Inc. has updated its Aries security appliance. The Celestix Aries One VPN/Security appliance integrates Check Point Software Technologies VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOffice Next Generation(NG) software for Internet security in small offices

Aries One is powered with a minimum 300MHz CPU with 128MB RAM, 5 gigabyte hard drive and two standard PCMCIA type II slots for additional modems and NIC interfaces. Periphral connectivity is done through a serial port and two USB connections. Aries One is equipped with 1 x 10Base-T Ethernet port and 1 x 100Base-T Ethernet port for WAN and LAN connectivity.

Celestix's uses a web based user interface to allow administrators to setup/configure and manage the Aries One. It includes a storage capacity up to 5GB HDD and operates in standalone or centrally managed mode.

The Aries One can be self-managed via the new Check Point NG Web-based management GUI or centrally managed via Check Point's enterprise management console and Provider-1/SiteManager-1 software.

Aries is available with a list price of $649 and applicable Check Point SmallOffice NG licenses available at additional cost.
