Security Appliance for Small Networks

Intrusion Inc. is securing networks with its new Intrusion PDS 1105 Internet security appliance. The PDS 1105 uses the popular Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOffice Next Generation(NG)security software. The system is designed to address the Internet security needs of the small office and remote/branch offices.

The Intrusion PDS 1105 appliance is relatively small with 5``x7''x1 1/2`` dimensions. PDS 1105 features three on board 10/100 Ethernet ports for internal network connections as well as a dedicated interface for a DMZ.

The PDS 1105 can be self-managed via the new Check Point NG Web-based management GUI or centrally managed via Check Point's enterprise management console and Provider-1/SiteManager-1 architecture.

Intrusion features include:

  • Hardened OS based on Red Hat Linux.
  • Three 10/100 Ethernet ports.
  • 300Mhz Processor.
  • 128 MB compact flash.
  • 64 MB RAM.

The Intrusion PDS 1105 is available a list price of $695.00 plus Check Point SmallOffice NG licenses available from Check Point Software Technologies at additional cost.
