Pico Paints Wireless Networking Blue

Pico Communications is providing access to Bluetooth enabled devices with its PicoBlue Internet Access Point. PicoBlue makes use of Bluetooth technology for wireless connectivity to corporate LANs and the Internet. In conjunction with the access point, PicoBlue also offers Bluetooth networking software to enhance the wireless experience.

PicoBlue features embedded network management and authentication clients so that it can be easily integrated with existing IT systems that utilize RADIUS, TACACS+ and SNMP. It leverages Bluetooth's authentication and encryption to provide multiple levels of built-in security for enterprise applications. PicoBlue supports up to seven simultaneously connections at ranges up to a 100-meters.

The PicoOffice software suite includes PicoConnect and PicoSync. PicoConnect is a background application that provides seamless Bluetooth connectivity to the optimal PicoBlue access point. PicoSync utilizes PicoConnect technology to perform one-click wireless network HotSync operations.

The PicoBlue Internet Access Point is currently available for $495.
