Hitachi's New PDA Extends to the EnterpriseBy Michael Foley Hitachi, Ltd. launched a new PDA product targeting the enterprise business customer. The NPD-10JWL integrates wireless networking into the product so that the business user can natively interact with their network infrastructure. The new device is based on Windows CE .NET and Intel's PXA250 processor (Intel Xscale microarchitecture). Hitachi's NPD-10JWL will be equipped with built-in 802.11b wireless LAN. The communicator will have 32MB of memory to run on board applications such as Internet Explorer 5.5, Windows Media Player, Inbox mail, Windows Messenger, Picture Viewer, Memo Pad, PIM software, Clock, and Calculator.
