3e Tech Provides Gateway to the Factory Floor

3e Technologies International, Inc. released its new 3e-520I Wireless Gateway. The 3e-520I is an industrial-grade gateway that supports IEEE 802.11b, LAN, WAN, USB, HPNA, IrDA, Bluetooth, and broadband (Cable, xDSL and fiber) networking technologies. It is packaged in an industrial enclosure to protect it in rugged environments.

The 3e-520I can be configured in either Access Point mode - to bridge wireless users to wired resources - or as a Gateway to provide additional firewall protection along with multiple broadband media selections. The 3e-520I Wireless Gateway is based on an x86 processor with a PCI bus. It supports NetMeeting, VoIP wireless handsets, and incorporates a print server interface.

The list price of the 3e-520I Wireless Gateway is $1,495.
