Asoka Powers Up Home Networking

Asoka USA Corporation has made available its new powerline networking products. Asoka PlugLink Ethernet Bridge and USB Bridge are home powerline networking products that are compliant with the HomePlug Powerline Alliance's Specification 1.0.1. These networking products allow computer users to use powerlines to extend their network.

The Asoka PlugLink Ethernet Bridge and USB Bridge use the existing wiring of a home as the network. The bridges plug into the power outlets at one end and into computer equipment through the Ethernet or USB port. The bridges also supply QoS and Error Detection of data. PlugLink Ethernet Bridge and USB Bridge features include:

• Easy to install, no configuration needed
• Shared 56 bit DES encryption
• Data transfer rates up to 14 Mbps
• Able to connect up to 16 devices
