ActiveLane Sets Up Network Toll Roads

ActiveLane Inc. debuted its flagship remote access product, the ActiveLane V3000 VPN Server Appliance. Built on the Windows 2000 Server platform, with the Microsoft Server Appliance Kit (SAK) 2.0, the V3000 VPN Server Appliance simplifies VPN server setup and management. The V3000 VPN Server Appliance supports up to 1,000 simultaneous VPN connections.

The V3000 VPN Server Appliance integrates seamlessly with Microsoft-centric infrastructure and supports Active Directory authentication. The ActiveLane appliance supports multiple remote access VPN protocols such as PPTP and L2TP/IPSec. The V3000 hardware has also been enhanced to provide acceleration of IPSec encryption.

The ActiveLane V3000 VPN Server Appliance comes in a 1U rackmounted enclosure. A Web-based user interface is used to set up and manage the appliance from any remote workstation. Normal maintenance functionality such as viewing logs, server shutdown, backups, setting user permissions and terminal services are also supported through the intuitive Web interface.

V3000 VPN Server Appliance also provides logging and reporting features such as:
