Andes Accelerates SSL

Andes Networks released a new line of SSL acceleration appliances. The PSSL Web Security Accelerator can be deployed in either a transparent in-line mode or transparent one-armed mode where a single port is used for both ingress and egress traffic. Using one-armed mode, several PSSL systems can be clustered to provide tens of thousands of SSL connections per second and wire-speed encryption processing for multiple 10/100 Ethernet segments.

AndesWeb Security Accelerators offer three (3) levels of administrative role-based users and software update images are encrypted and authenticated. Backup of system configuration files is encrypted using a user-defined pass phrase. Thefamily of SSL traffic accelerator include:

  • PSSL2000 Optimized for transaction-oriented applications using small packet payloads at high handshake rates. Supports up to: 1,000 SSL Connections per second 16,000 Active sessions 100 Mbps Encryption performance
  • PSSL4000 This versatile model is ideal for extranet applications requiring a greater number of longer -lived sessions and using larger page sizes. Supports up to: 2,000 SSL Connections per second 32,000 Active sessions 200 Mbps Encryption performance
  • PSSL6000 Designed for the most demanding environments and offering the industry's best SSL processing performance. Supports up to: 3,000 SSL Connections per second 64,000 Active sessions 300 Mbps Encryption performance
