CipherTrust is increasing the protection of emails with two IronMail security appliances. These appliances secure Outlook Web Access and iNotes by offering browser-based access and VPN to corporate e-mail accounts without fear of e-mail threats such as buffer overflow attacks or Nimda-like worms.

IronMail identifies and blocks attacks, including buffer overflow and Unicode exploits, as well as Nimda-like threats, which exploit underlying Web servers, such as Microsoft Internet Information Services servers. Users can proactively defend against known and unknown vulnerabilities.

The IronMail appliance integrates protection against the major e-mail threats into one appliance. IronMail protects against hackers, intruders, malicious code, viruses, worms and Trojan Horses. It provides privacy for messages in-transit. And, it protects web mail systems such as Outlook Web Access and iNotes. IronMail includes a unified policy manager that allows corporations to define, monitor and enforce corporate e-mail policies. IronMail provides e-mail security for mail servers, including Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes, and works with mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora.

IronMail's Mail-VPN capability allows companies to provide secure e-mail communications using a standard e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook. Mail-VPN uses Secure Sockets Layer, for protecting mail across the enterprise.

IronMail protects communications by creating a secure tunnel for in- transit e-mail traffic and by authenticating all e-mail communications. Mail- VPN benefits include:
