The NetProtect Enterprise network security appliance detects and automatically defends against hacking attacks and other intrusions originating from connections to the Internet and other public networks

Manufactured by Vsecure Technologies the new hardware intrusion detection systems can uncover new and yet-to-be-identified attacks and other malicious activities through a series of complex, data-packet inspections and takes immediate defensive action with little or no human intervention. Once defensive action has been taken, a report is sent to a security or IT professional. Other suspicious activities are blocked, logged and immediately reported.

NetProtect Enterprise effectively counters four major categories of devastating attacks on networks: pre-attack probes such as network and application scanning; distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS); misuse of authorization such as "brute force" and dictionary attacks; and worm distribution methods.

Vsecure was selected to defend the Web portal of Israel's premier international sporting event the Maccabiah Games, in May 2001. During a seven-day period, the NetProtect Enterprise appliance blocked more than 20,000 attempted attacks while allowing more than 2.5 million valid users access to rich media content regarding the games.

With extensive knowledge of hacking methods, Vsecure's team of security and network experts designed NetProtect Enterprise for ease of use and low maintenance, allowing for it to be successfully managed by personnel with a minimum of security experience.

Ideally located at an organization's gateway/entry point, NetProtect Enterprise can be easily integrated with other security or telecom products and can interface with a company's existing firewall solution and routers.
