Anaheim, Calif. - At its 13 th annual developer conference, Borland Software Corp. (Scotts Valley, Ca.) revealed details of its new C++ tool methodology for development of iAppliance applications on 2.5G and 3G mobile phones and voice-enabled Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) that run on the Symbian operating system.

To be released formally later this summer, the new tool methodology builds on the release of Borland JBuilder MobileSet 2.0 last year. It enables C++ developers to rapidly produce applications that run on the Symbian OS, an operating system for advanced, data-enabled mobile phones.

The solution will also support the development of C++ applications for Nokia's Series 60 platform, which runs on the Symbian OS. For more information go to www.borland.com or www.symbian.com.
