An all-in-one Internet appliance that combines a VPN, firewall, router and Web-filtering capabilities combats lost workplace productivity from inappropriate Web surfing, intrusion from unwanted parties and ease of connection to distributed locations.

SnapGear Inc. and Cerberian have combined technologies to release this affordable solution. The new appliance allows organizations to manage, monitor and report on employee Internet usage regardless of location with Cerberian's advanced Web filtering and monitoring technology and SnapGear's fully integrated hardware.

With one of the largest databases of categorized URLs, Cerberian's service provides real-time URL rating, policy management and real-time reporting to help improve employee productivity, and reduce drain on network bandwidth.

As the importance of Internet monitoring and content filtering continues to increase, SnapGear and Cerberian are positioned to assist businesses, government organizations and education institutions by providing integrated, affordable, and proven filtering solutions, including anti-spam and anti-virus resources.

SnapGear's appliances are recommended for small- to medium-sized businesses, organizations with multiple offices, telecommuter virtual private network access and educational institutions. The devices are designed to combat network interruptions from hackers, viruses, and other security breaches. The appliance is available for purchase through a worldwide distribution network.

SnapGear VPN Routers will be shipping with Cerberian capability from June 2002. At that time a firmware upgrade will be available for free download to all existing SnapGear customers. About SnapGear Inc.
