Celestix Networks a developer of ready-to-deploy server appliance solutions, and F-Secure, provider of centrally managed security solutions, introduced the Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 Appliance fully integrating F-Secure's Anti-Virus for Firewalls.

Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 ensures that viruses and malicious code hidden in email, web and file transfers are detected and disinfected at the gateway before passing through the firewall. In about 15 minutes, even non-technical users can have Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 up and running, providing users with entirely secure Internet and email access. Because it detects and provides enterprise protection at the gateway level, viruses are stopped before the chance of compromise to corporate security.

Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 scans traffic seamlessly through Check Point Software Technologies VPN-1®/FireWall-1® and most other Content Vectoring Protocols (CVP) compliant firewalls. Virus searches are performed in real-time as data is transferred, making it impossible for end-users to bypass or disable the corporate firewall.

Installation is as easy as flipping through the LCD menus to answer a few questions. Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 can be managed locally from the Web-based interface, as well as centrally by the administrator or service provider.

Designed with power and speed in mind, the Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 comes with the choice of Intel Celeron 900MHz and above, at least 256MB RAM, up to 40GB hard drive, 2 x high speed 100BaseT ports and a unique LCD panel for network configurations.

Available in mid-June, pricing information for the Taurus Anti-Virus F1400 is as follows:

- 50 user licenses priced at $3,299 - 100 user licenses priced at $3,799 - 500 user licenses priced at $8,499
