St. Bernard Software, a traditional software provider of security and Internet access management solutions to protect against data loss, system threats, and Internet abuse, jumps into the appliance market with the iPrism v3.2 Internet access management appliance.

iPrism v3.2 offers interoperability, flexibility, and a suite of customization features for Internet access management appliance. iPrism v3.2 is designed to maximize performance and reliability for monitoring, blocking, and reporting on an organization's Web activity in order to enforce Internet Acceptable Use Policies (AUP). It easily and securely manages Web access without requiring modifications to workstations, servers, firewalls or other network components.

St. Bernard Software believes organizations are moving toward implementing dedicated appliances to meet their Internet access management needs. iPrism follows this trend with its full-featured, nteroperable Internet Access Management appliance. Dedicated appliances offer stress-free manageability and a lower total cost of ownership relative to software-based solutions.

With iPrism, there is no additional software or hardware to purchase, install, manage or maintain. iPrism is platform independent and therefore alleviates present and future integration issues. iPrism provides automatic databases updates as well as updates for the operating system and application software. Customers can rely on one vendor to call for support for both hardware and software questions at no cost. No software-based filtering solution can make these claims.

A key feature of iPrism v3.2 is the ability to seamlessly interoperate with NT and LDAP environments enabling administrators to assign filtering profiles to users based on LDAP attributes or the NT group they belong to. This feature enables administrators to quickly and easily give diverse groups or specific individuals within a company customized Internet access rights with little effort. iPrism v3.2 includes native NT authentication, SSL/HTTPS support for authentication, and enhanced real-time email alerts.

iPrism v3.2 is available immediately and is sold as a network appliance along with supporting subscription services. The iPrism appliance includes a one-time cost of $2,195. One- or three-year subscription plans are available and include daily database updates, timely upgrades, technical support and hardware maintenance. Subscription pricing is based on the number of users. An all-inclusive 250-user subscription is $3,295.
