Accelerated uiPLUS Ported to Blackfin DSPBy Bernard Cole Tokyo, Japan - At the Embedded Systems Expo & Conference here last week, the Accelerated Technology division of Mentor Graphics took the wrapper off of a new version of its micro-ITRON interface, called uiPLUS, which has been ported to the Analog Devices Blackfin DSP. That processor is targeted at a wide range of netcentric wireless iappliances as well as a wide range of embedded applications in the network infrastructure at the edge in the routers and switches used in gateways and base stations. micro ITRON is an operating system environment developed in Japan and which is now used by 50 percent of the embedded, consumer and connected iappliance developers there. The ITRON specification is also gaining ground in small footprint and real time OS markets worldwide. Nucleus embedded software is sold with source code and without royalty fees. Available now, licenses for Nucleus uiPLUS start at $2,995 and licenses for Nucleus PLUS start at $12,495. Go to http://www.acceleratedtechnology.com for more information. |
