Antelope's All in One PDA, Desktop, Tablet

Antelope Technologies, has signed a licensing agreement with IBM to build and market the Meta Pad, a portable computing device that transforms into a personal digital assistant (PDA), a desktop, a laptop, a tablet or a wearable computer without having to power down. The Meta Pad is based on a Mobile Computer Core (MCC) which incorporates the Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 processor.

Antelope has a ten-year license agreement to manufacture and market its own version of the device. Developed by IBM, the first production models of MCC will be available this September. The MCC's ability to transforms into all popular forms of computing devices: a PDA, a notebook or a desktop form gives users several different devices, while providing the full Windows XP experience running on low power Crusoe processor.

The MCC is centered around the processor, with an internal battery, data storage and computer software applications. Additional power supply, display, communications and input/output connectors are accessories, are included in the device in its handheld, desktop, laptop, tablet or wearable mode .
