San Jose, Ca. --- OSE Systems, Inc.'s Real Time OS has been ported to Altera's Excalibur embedded processor solutions.

Aimed at a number of emerging markets in the embedded networking and communications infrastructure used by iappliance devices, processors such as MIPS, ARM and the company's own proprietary CPU, developers can proceed to market quickly with a system on chip.

With the availability of RTOSes such as OSE's which are targeted specifically telecommunications and networking applications, developers can move quickly to the market without necessarily compromising the tough 99.999 percent reliability such applications require.

The OSE development license starts at $8,000 and the OSE BSP for the EPXA10development board is available immediately for $3,000 in the US. For more information go to http://www.ose.com or http://www.altera.com.
