Omniva Policy Manager Secures Wireless Gateway

Ssan Francisco, Ca. -- Omniva Policy Systems has a new Policy Manager Wireless Gateway that makes it possible for companies to exchange and secure confidential emails within and beyond the corporate boundaries without requiring any special software, downloads, or additional steps to read email messages.

Working in combination with the company's Policy Manager Enterprise Edition it allows companies to centrally control access to company confidential email, prevent forwarding of sensitive emails, and set email expiration dates including wireless email devices.

Omniva's Wireless Gateway allows BlackBerry users to read and send secure email policy messages as they would normal messages. With the Wireless Gateway, companies can maintain established corporate email confidentiality and retention policies from both the desktop and wireless email systems. All email security policies defined with Omniva Policy Manager Enterprise Edition instantly apply to BlackBerry users.

With the new tool, messages can be sent as 'company confidential' and cannot be read outside the company or as 'do not forward' and cannot be read by anyone but the original recipients. Messages and attachments can be set to expire after a specified amount of time in adherence with corporate policies. After expiration, these messages are deleted -- including all copies of themessage -- wherever they reside. Also, the policy manager allows users to easily block the ability to copy and paste, as well as print a message.

The policy manager is available now. For more information, go to www.omniva.com.
