The product is based on BorderWare's Firewall Server and Mail Gateway products, providing e-mail security in a fault-tolerant appliance.

Mxtreme's layered security model guards against attacks, including operating system hacks, malformed messages, viruses, and spam.

MXtreme supports Microsoft's Outlook Web Access and other Web mail services, with built-in authentication, encryption, and session control.

The product is available now with prices starting at $6,000.
