Cupertion, Ca. -- Symantec Corp. has added its support to Microsoft Corp.s' effort to beef up the security of its Internet-centric software offerings with the development of its AntiVirus for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server.

It is designed to provide scalable and reliable virus detection and repair for HTTP, FTP and SMTP traffic served through ISA Server. Scheduled to be available in December, it is designed specifically to protect HTTP, FTP, and SMTP traffic served through the ISA Server preventing new virus threats from entering an organization's mail servers and conserve server resources by blocking messages based on subject line, attachment and size.
