Oslo, Norway --  Reflecting the greater need amongst non-technical Web users to do their own thing online and amongst graphics professionals to be more productive, Opera Software has taken the wraps off the newest version of its Opera Show Generator.

According to Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software, the new software, now available free for download at www.opera.com, this newest version requires no set-up or instructions.

“Simply paste or type in the content of your presentation and choose layout,” he said. “By striking F11, your presentation is professionally displayed in the Opera browser through the integrated Opera Show feature.”

First introduced in 2000, said Opera CTO, HĂĄkon Wium Lie, Opera Show has become a popular presentation tool among Web professionals looking for a better alternative to Microsoft's PowerPoint.

Unlike previous tools for creating professional presentation, he said, which required HTML programming skills, the new Opera Show Generator eliminates this need, enabling even the most inexperienced user to create high-quality presentations in minutes.

Opera Show is also cross-platform, faster, and easier to use than other types of presentation software saves presentations as compact XHTML files with  embedded CSS style sheets, much less bandwidth is required when sending them via email.

The Opera Show Generator is available free of charge from Opera Show Centre.
