MiND adds GPS to its Mobile Internet Device

San Jose, Ca. – Bucking the trend back toward dedicated function mobile internet devices and back toward general purpose anything machines Clarion has insteaded starting adding features to its new ClarionMiND, starting with GPS.

Based on Intel’s new Atom processor, the new MID offers points of interest information and traffic updates as well.

Scheduled to be available in retail outlets in October, among its core features are a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, 4GB Flash memory, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, SD card reader, dual USB ports, Linux OS 2.6.22, Google Maps, YouTube Viewer, and Weather Information.
