Lantronix, Inc.'s, single chip for embedding Internet and network connectivity into devices has been branded DSTni, Device Server Technology Network Interface. The chip contains a 96Mhz x186 microcontroller and 128K bytes of zero wait state SRAM. It is capable of addressing up to 16 MB of external RAM and 16 Kbytes of external ROM. The SoC includes two 10/100 Ethernet MACs with integrated physical layer (PHY). Additional interfaces include four high-speed serial ports, CANBUS, SPI, I²C, and parallel I/O.

DSTni is targeted for networked devices for HPNA, PLC, copper, fiber, and wireless network topologies. Supporting DSTni, Lantronix offers an OEM developer's kit that contains the DSTni reference design board and a complete suite of network-enabling software.

The software kit includes a real time operating system (RTOS), a TCP/IP protocol stack, a Web server, a complete set of 'C' libraries, and sample source code to fast-track the development cycle.
