Synchrologic Delivers Software Suite for PocketPC Management

Synchrologic has upgraded its device management software for mobile wireless devices. The company has added new features to its iMobile Suite product to enable mobile employees to sync data between their Pocket PCs and the enterprise. It also allows IT departments to manage the data to their mobile workforce.

iMobile Suite provides infrastructure software for managing enterprisewide mobile device deployments. iMobile Suite has been upgraded to enable Pocket PC users to sync their e-mail and Personal Information Management (PIM) data. iMobile Suite also automates functions, software upgrades, and executables.

One of its significant features is checkpoint restart, which allows the Pocket PC to determine where the device leaves off in the execution of a program or download, rather than returning to the first step if an interruption occurs for any reason, including the loss of a wireless connection.

Additionally, iMobile Suite allows system administrators to set default configurations or profiles for synchronization and administrative control. Administrative capabilities provide support for distribution and version control of PIM information.

The iMobile Suite is available now; pricing varies depending on the components purchased. The component is priced at $99 per user for 100 users, and the Exchange sync option is $39 per user.
