The Digital Audio Receiver streams MP3 and WMA music throughout your house using your phone jack and the Receiver's networking card. With the Receiver, you can access all of the music you have stored on your PC via phone lines - without interfering with your phone service.

The built-in Rio Connector software, which communicates with your PC and transfers the music directly to the receiver at a rate of 10 megabits per second, allows you to send the audio files to the Receiver wherever it is in the house. For your listening pleasure, the Receiver has a built-in 2 x 10W amplifier for CD-like sound, or it can be incorporated into a component stereo system.

For selecting music, you have the option of using a remote control or the Receiver itself to scroll and search thorough the collection of MP3 and Windows Media files on your PC. The backlit user interface is large enough to display the song, album title, artist name, bit rate, and total playing time, so you never have to wonder what you're listening to. You can even customize the screen to display the information that you want to see.

To set the Receiver up on your PC, you will need Windows 98, Windows 98SE, 2000, or Millennium, an Intel Pentium 200 MHz MMX or higher CPU, 32MB RAM, 16MB of available hard drive space, a CD-ROM drive, the Rio Digital Audio Connector Card, and PNA Networking or Ethernet networking for PC.
