The InterJak 200 by Filanet is called a "Platform for Internet Services Delivery," which basically means that when you need to deliver documents across a LAN, or even a WAN, to another computer or printer, you use this device to do it securely, because, let's face it, there are millions of roving eyes out there interested in seeing what information your company has that they can use, and the last place you want those eyes looking is your network.

The InterJak can be set it up to operate a LAN or a WAN using dual 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, dual USB ports, or dual FireWire ports to connect various devices. As the information flows through these connections from computer to computer or the Internet to computer, a dynamic, stateful firewall with built-in URL filtering protects the network from Internet-based attacks, and encryption and authentication capabilities guard internal data flow. The actual networking technology uses DHCP, NAT, and IP routing to send the information to and fro.

The InterJak can support ISDN, SDSL, and, more recently, ADSL networks. It can be set up to include options like VPN, content filtering, traffic shaping, network monitoring, and emailing. It even has an automated backup feature, so you can save critical data either locally or remotely.

The red and black InterJak 200 measures 11 x 10 x 1.75 inches, and weighs about 3.75 lbs.
