NetVanta 2100byThe NetVanta 2100 from ADTRAN is a small office gateway used mainly for remote access and site-to-multisite connectivity often required in corporate branch offices and SOHOs. But having access is one thing. If you're unlucky, anyone can get access to your network, so security is the key. That's what the NetVanta 2100 brings to the table. With hackers running rampant, having a network without a firewall is not a smart thing to do. The NetVanta 2100 offers your network security and management capabilities via IPSec (Internet Protocol Security), VPN tunneling, stateful inspection firewall, authenticated remote user access using IKE (Internet Key Exchange), and Network Address Translation (NAT). This will help prevent those cyber-attacks, like the ping-of-death and IP spoofing. To secure data going from one part of your network to another, the NetVanta encrypts it using either the DES (Data Encryption Standard) or 3DES encryption algorithms. And if your network uses a VPN, the NetVanta is an IPSec compliant device that supports ESP and AH protocols. It provides up to 10 private encryption communication tunnels through the Internet to remote locations. NAT will also hide your IP addresses from the outside world. Configuring your secure network with the NetVanta is easy using a standard Web browser. Built-in alert and logging mechanisms are used for messaging and mail services. With this, administrators can find out about activities that are going on in the network by logging in or sending an email. The NetVanta measures 1.625 x 9.0 x 6.375 inches and weighs two pounds. Pricing and Availability The NetVanta 2100 is currently shipping at a list price of $895.
