D-Link DI-713P

by

A broadband 802.11b-compliant wireless gateway, the DI-713P provides users with the ability to share a broadband connection, as well serving print commands and working as a firewall.

D-Link DI-713P

The DI-713P allows office workers to share a DSL or cable modem connection through either three 10/100 Ethernet ports or a wireless 802.11b connection. A bidirectional LPT port supports the printer connection. The DI-713P also provides NAT, DHCP for up to 252 users, and packet filtering services between the local network and the Internet.

If you're concerned about securely passing information across the network, you'll be relieved to find that the DI-713P is equipped to provide 128-bit Encryption. On top of this, the DI-713P can mask local users' IP addresses from others and block and redirect certain ports to limit incoming information requests. In addition, static address support, integrated DHCP, PPPoE, and device name support will allow this device to network with almost any broadband connection.

Working as a VPN device, the DI-713P provides pass through capabilities for PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol), L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol), and IPSec functions. An included virtual server feature allows the user to explore HTTP, FTP, Game Servers, and other local services to users outside the LAN. Of course, these features are securely protected using a DMZ setting.

Pricing and Availability

The D-Link DI-713P is currently available for $279.00.
