Wave Back - PDA PlusbyWave Back - PDA Plus is not merely a clever name. It's an acronym, too, which stands for Wireless.Audio.Video.Email. And if you go searching for the Wave on the Kessel web site, you won't find it under PDAs, or "grown-up gadgets," you'll find it under "Electronic Toys." Rather interesting, being this "toy" comes with PIM software and a built-in digital camera. What happened to the Rubik's Cube? Granted, the Wave is not quite as high-tech as the Pocket PCs that are roaming the land, but it should work quite nicely for that techno-savvy teen in your life. It runs the WaveSpeak 3.01 operating system, which isn't compatible with Windows-anything, but will soon have a website at www.iwaveback.com that will have downloadable applications, games, and wireless tips. The software that is available, and that it ships with, includes an address book, calendar, e-mail access, calculator, to-do list, voice message software, and digital picture software, which comes in handy when using the built-in 160 x 160 grayscale digital camera. Data entry is made easy through the touch screen, and data transmissions of audio, video, and text messages can be made to other devices up to 1000 feet away. Synchronization software allows users to dump new phone numbers and schedule changes to your PC. Internally, the Wave is equipped with a 18 MHz CPU and 2 MB of RAM for storage. The Wave is powered by 3 AAA batteries, and comes in electric blue, laser lime, and pink pizzazz. Pricing and Availability Contact Kessel Electronics for pricing information.
