Palm wants to add color to your life with its introduction of the Palm m130 PDA.  The new m130, otherwise identical to the m125, delivers a color transflective STN screen and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.  The Palm m130's most notable feature is its 160 x 160 display that supports more than 65,000 colors and is backlit for indoor use.  It also reflects ambient light for use outdoors as well.

Inside the m130 comes equipped with Palm OS 4.1 operating system, 8 MB of memory and a 33 MHz Motorola Dragonball VZ processor.  The m130's Expansion Card Slot accepts both MultiMediaCard and SD expansion cards allowing users the expandability to add extra memory as well as the capability to load new software, eBooks, games, or reference works.  Its Universal Connector lets users add peripherals such as a modem, keyboard or GPS receiver.  The m130 has rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can power the PDA for up to a week and a USB cradle for recharging the battery and syncing to a PC.  As with other Palm PDAs, it also has an infrared port for beaming data to other Palm devices. 

The Palm m130 comes installed with all the standard software that Palm is known for including: Address Book, Date Book, To Do List, Memo Pad, Note Pad, Calculator, and Pocket Mirror synchronization software.  Palm has also added some bonus software to the m130.  With DataViz Documents To Go you can create, view and edit your Microsoft Word and Excel files and view and share PowerPoint presentations right on your PDA.  Show off the m130's color screen with MGI Photosuite Mobile Edition that lets you view both video clips and images. Other bonus software includes: Palm Reader, powerOne Personal Calculator, Avantgo Mobile Internet Service for downloading web information, Mobile Connectivity Software to go wireless, and HotSync Mail and Multimail SE email applications.  And of course there are thousands more applications available to download to your Palm.

The m130 measures 4.8 x 3.1 x 0.9 inches and weighs 5.4 oz.  Its LCD is quite small measuring only 2 inches across.
