RouteFinder

by

Secure your network, even your VPN, with the RouteFinder. With viruses running rampant across email systems, your network had better have protection, and the RouteFinder just might be able to provide the protection you're looking for. It supports up to 256 IPSec and/or 128 PPTP VPN tunnels for LAN-to-LAN or Client-to-LAN access via the Internet. This means that network members who aren't physically in your office can still access network files without having to worry about pesky viruses or nosey hackers.

RouteFinder

To help even more in keeping unwanted visitors and data out, the RouteFinder is equipped with NAT and stateful packet inspection. Client and site filtering can be established using a secure Internet access control tool. Application-level security uses SMTP, HTTP, DNS, and SOCKS proxies. And if it's email you're worried about, you can include an optional virus protection subscription to your device.

Now, with all of these security features added, you would figure that network performance must be slow, right? Wrong. The RouteFinder has a built-in caching server, which allows you to save frequently accessed Websites, improving network performance. So even with the 3DES encryption, you will still get a data throughput of 15Mbps. And if you're an IT guy who wants to keep dibs on what is going on in your network, a reporting function will tell you system uptime, hardware and network utilization, email infection incidences, and general reports that can aide in troubleshooting.

Managing the RouteFinder is both secure and convenient, either through a Web browser or at the command line. If you choose the browser-based option, the HTTPS protocol or SSL provides 128-bit encryption for a secure management session.

The RouteFinder utilizes a 566 MHz Pentium-class processor, and has system memory of 128 MB and disk space of 10 GB. It measures 17 x 1.75 x 10.5 inches and weighs 10 lbs.
