Nokia 9210 CommunicatorbyFor the person who does it all, why not have a device that does it all? The Nokia 9210 Communicator is a phone and handheld computer in one, so when that remote conference call comes through, you will be able to answer it and access the presentations and files you need with the same device.
A high-resolution display is expected on a PDA, but a mobile phone? Well, when that mobile phone lets you open up Word, spreadsheet, and presentation documents, anyone with eyes can see that a 4096 color active-matrix display is definitely a necessity, not a luxury.
This ARM9-based mobile phone runs the Symbian OS and is equipped with SMS, fax, and email messaging, contacts, and calendar software. Email support includes POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP protocols, as well as Microsoft, Lotus, HP, Oracle, Sun, and several more mail servers. If you're used to getting email attachments, don't fret; the 9210 can handle audio, graphic, and document attachments with ease. Application memory for the 9210 sits at 14 MB, and a CD-ROM of optional software is included if you want to add applications beyond what comes pre-loaded. User memory is 2 MB, plus 16MB via a MultiMedia card, and SDRAM is set at 8MB. Data transfer can occur along an EGSM 900/1800 network, or through IrDA, Ir-TranP, or a cable interface. The 9210 Communicator measures 158 x 56 x 27 mm and weighs 244 grams. Pricing and Availability The Nokia 9210 is currently available in Europe with availability soon to follow in the US for around $995.00.
